HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

WHATS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

We work closely with one of the industry leaders in Audio Visual Equipment. Included in the cost quoted would be the performers and the sound system and dedicated sound engineer required to make your event go with a bang.

If your date is more than 3 hours from Central London, you may be required to provide accommodation for the performers additionally to the show fee.

ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN EXTRAS (VAT, TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION)?

We are a VAT Registered company so any fee will be subject to this by law.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?

You may be asked for a 20% deposit on booking to secure the date requested.

HOW CAN I AMEND OR REARRANGE A BOOKING?

Feel free to contact the office on 01702 780062. There will be someone to discuss the particulars with you and make any amendments as easy as possible.

WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION TERMS?

In the case of cancellation of performance due to Force Majeure (acts of god, war, fire, death, accident, civil unrest, government intervention, changes of law) which are clearly beyond the control of either “the Client”, “the Artiste” or “Veritas Entertainment Ltd” no cancellation fee will be paid.

Cancellation by the Client 

In the event of cancellation of an engagement by “the Client” the following charges will be payable:

a) Within 2 days of confirmation of the booking (but not within 7 days of the performance date) = no cancellation fee due.

b) More than 8 weeks’ notice of the performance date = 20% of the total fee.

c) Less than 8 weeks’ notice of the performance date = Full fee payable.
In the event that “the Artiste” is subsequently able to take a substitute booking in respect of the cancelled show, “Veritas Entertainment Ltd” will credit up to 80% of the cancellation charges “the Client” is otherwise due to pay, to the extent (if any) that the sum it receives in respect of the substitute booking reduces its losses as a result of the cancellation. For the avoidance of doubt, if the substitute booking equals or exceeds “the Client’s” agreed fee, “Veritas Entertainment Ltd” will refund all but 20% of the full fee to “the Client”.

It is an integral part of this agreement that such charges are accepted and will be paid within 14 days of our invoice date. Cancellation of the engagement will only be accepted in writing with proof of posting. The date of cancellation will be accepted as the date of posting.

In the event of cancellation “the Client” agrees to inform “Veritas Entertainment Ltd” immediately, and in turn “Veritas Entertainment Ltd” agrees to inform “the Artiste” immediately.

Cancellation by Artiste/Band?

Cancellation by “the Artiste” is not permitted. If however “the Artiste” does cancel, “Veritas Entertainment Ltd” will make all reasonable attempts to find a suitable replacement at no extra cost to “the Client”.
“Veritas Entertainment Ltd” will refund all fees if a suitable replacement cannot be found.

Should “the Artiste” cancel a booking “the Artiste” will refund the “the Client” the difference between the original fee and any replacement artiste.

VENUE

DO THE BAND HAVE THEIR OWN P.A SYSTEM, SOUND & LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?

At Veritas we wish to leave all of your guests with the best possible image of your event. If you have just watched a top show featuring west end performers, the last thing you want to see is the guys then coming out in their jeans and breaking down all of the equipment. It completely shatters the illusion that you are watching star performers.

Additionally, we think it is important to have the best possible people who are experts in their field, which is why we work closely with one of the best sound and lighting companies in the country to make the show look like you are watching it in a west end theatre.

WHAT ARE THE BANDS POWER REQUIRMENTS?

This will vary depending on how big the band is. We can arrange a conversation with our sound company partners who can go through these requirements with you in detail, based on the venue etc.

DOES THE BAND HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE?

Veritas Entertainment has PLI up to ten million pounds so every event is fully covered.

DO YOU REQUIRE ON SITE PARKING?

We will be as flexible as we can be to help make your event go as smoothly as possible, so if parking is an issue at the venue we can discuss this in advance, make a drop – off time for costume, eqpt etc. All of this can be arranged well in advance of the event.

DO YOU REQUIRE CHANGING FACILITIES AT THE VENUE?

Yes, we will require a private lockable space to change and wait between sound check and the performance times. For clarification, public restrooms of any kind are not suitable or acceptable.

THE SHOW

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED TO SETUP?

This can vary greatly depending on the size of the band to the accessibility of the performance space. A good rule of thumb for basic playback shows is an hour and a half for PA set up then one hour for the band to sound check.

CAN WE REQUEST SONGS THAT ARE NOT ON THE LIST?

We will do everything we can to make your special day exclusive to you, however, we have years of experience in creating shows which will take your audience on a roller coaster ride.

We suggest you let us do what we do to make sure you get the best show and in turn the best night possible.

WHAT IS THE SHOWS DURATION AND DO YOU REQUIRE BREAKS?

We can supply the shows as either 1×45 mins, 1×60 mins to 2×45 mins depending on what you are trying to achieve.

FYI Asking for the maximum amount of show available is not always the best ‘Value For Money’. The best thing you can do is leave the crowd wanting more. Too much material can take the shine off the shows and in turn, the night. With our personal service, we will work with you to make sure you have the benefit of our experience of all types of events to give you and your guests the best possible night.

DO YOU PLAY BACKGROUND MUSIC BETWEEN SETS?

Yes, this is no problem. If you require a DJ for after the performances this can also be arranged for a further fee. Background music between sets does not stretch to late night DJ.

CAN WE TAKE PICTURES OF THE SHOW FOR PERSONAL USE?

Of course!! If you would like to, we can arrange a special meet and greet with the team after the shows who will pose for pictures with your guests. Something a little bit extra for your guests to remember us by.
